EEESEF formalises its international cooperation through Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with institutional, academic, and technology partners across Eurasia. These frameworks are non-commercial and non-binding in nature, establishing shared objectives in environmental science, ESG research, and sustainable technology promotion.

Our immediate operational roadmap prioritises the establishment of localised scientific fieldwork baselines and specialised technical training seminars across Eurasia. By actively interfacing with municipal administrations, engineering enterprises, and academic consortia, the foundation serves as a vital bridge between high-level environmental research and industrial application. The Euro-Eurasia Environmental Science & Education Foundation (EEESEF) and the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding to formalize research cooperation in environmental protection, with wastewater treatment and water purification identified as the partnership's primary focus.


Scope of Cooperation:
EEESEF and KBTU have established institutional framework for cooperation in the following areas:

 

  • Wastewater and wastewater purification research, integrating an electrochemical nitrogen-removal stage with a biological membrane system (A²O/MABR), working towards zero liquid discharge and removing nitrogen by electrochemical technology.

 

  • Co-authored scientific publications, working papers, and technical reports under joint EEESEF–KBTU branding

 

  • ESG and environmental research, including carbon accounting, circular economy, and industrial ecology

 

  • Environmental impact and regulatory research under the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2021) and international standards

 

  • Education, training, and capacity building — guest lectures, joint seminars, student internships, and short courses in ESG and ISO 14001/14064/14067


This cooperation is institutional, academic, and non-commercial in nature.

  • An Independent ESG Assessment of OUKE's environmental, social, and governance performance


  • Benchmarking against Chinese environmental law and international frameworks (GHG Protocol, GRI, IFC Performance Standards, ISO 14001)


  • Independent findings and practical recommendations for improvement

The Assessment is an independent professional opinion, not a certification, licence, or regulatory approval, and is provided in furtherance of EEESEF's non-profit mandate.

Scope of Visit:
EEESEF conducted a formal institutional visit to the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU) in Almaty, Kazakhstan, to engage with leadership, faculty, and research departments. The visit aimed to explore potential areas of academic cooperation, joint scientific research, and non-profit educational initiatives across several key departments, including Engineering, Waste & Regeneration Oil, UAV Research & Development, and Robotics Science & Research.

The primary areas of ongoing dialogue and future exploration include:

  • Zero-Pollution Waste Oil Regeneration Research: Exploring collaborative scientific pathways to research the recycling of waste oil into pure base oil. This initiative focuses on developing closed-loop, eco-friendly regeneration processes that entirely eliminate chemical secondary pollution, avoid hazardous emissions, and reduce dependency on finite natural resources like crude oil.
  • ESG Integration & Academic Sustainability Frameworks: Sharing knowledge on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards to support educational development and explore how industrial ecology can be woven into academic research frameworks within Central Asia.
  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Propulsion Systems: Exploring academic and open-source research into advanced UAV propulsion systems optimized for non-commercial, public utility, environmental monitoring, and industrial safety compliance applications. Potential research fields include:
  • Eco-efficient powertrain optimization for extended-range environmental surveying.
  • Thermal management and efficiency testing of electric and hybrid UAV propulsion in extreme climates.
  • Payload-to-power calibration for agricultural monitoring and wilderness conservation drones.
  •   Robotics & Automation for Environmental Safety: Investigating collaborative opportunities in robotics science, focusing on automation technologies that can be deployed to safely handle hazardous materials, monitor emissions, or optimize waste sorting facilities without human health risks.
  •  Capacity Building & Academic Mobility: Discussing future non-profit initiatives for knowledge exchange, student research opportunities, and joint scientific workshops between international experts and Kazakhstani engineering students.

Discussions are ongoing, and further meetings will follow to continue our dialogue and explore possible formal cooperation agreements aligned with our shared educational and environmental research goals.

Scope of Visit:
The Euro-Eurasia Environmental Science & Education Foundation (EEESEF) conducted a formal institutional visit to Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The purpose of the visit was to establish an initial dialogue with faculty and researchers, exploring potential academic, scientific, and non-profit collaborative pathways aimed at advancing environmental research and educational infrastructure within the region.

  • Environmental Science Research & Regional Fieldwork: Identifying opportunities for joint scientific research projects, ecological data collection, and coordinated fieldwork initiatives focused on the unique environmental ecosystems and climate challenges of Central Asia.
  • Clean Technology Education & Curriculum Exchange: Exploring the exchange of educational methodologies, specialized course modules, and curriculum frameworks focused on clean technology, industrial ecology, and sustainable development.
  • Alignment with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Assessing how a future cooperative framework between EEESEF and KazNU can directly support and advance specific UN SDGs, particularly those concerning clean water, affordable and clean energy, climate action, and terrestrial ecosystems. 
  • Capacity Building & Academic Mobility: Investigating non-profit mechanisms to support Kazakhstani environmental science students, postgraduates, and researchers through academic exchange opportunities, joint scientific workshops, and international knowledge-sharing platforms.

Discussions remain ongoing, and further meetings are anticipated to explore potential cooperation agreements and formalize an academic framework aligned with our shared scientific and educational objectives.
