EEESEF promotes responsible business practices through independent Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) assessments and its ECF-700:2026 ESG Management and Responsible Business Standard. As an independent UK-registered non-profit organisation, EEESEF conducts professional ESG assessments without charging an assessment fee, providing participating organisations with an Independent ESG Assessment Report evaluating their environmental, social, and governance practices. These assessments are conducted under a separate written agreement and aim to encourage transparency, environmental responsibility, sustainable development, and continuous organisational improvement.

Following the completion of an independent ESG assessment, organisations may voluntarily apply for ECF-700:2026 Certification, a separate, paid certification service administered by EEESEF. Certification is subject to an independent technical review, conformity evaluation, and formal certification decision under the applicable standard. Certification is entirely optional and is not guaranteed by the assessment process. Through this structured approach, EEESEF supports responsible business development while maintaining scientific independence, transparency, and a clear distinction between its non-fee assessment activities and optional certification services.
